The community responds to CATS:
I am 73 years old. I have seen many movies and
plays. I play the guitar, clarinet and sing. I tell you this so you will better
understand what I have to say. Never in my life time have I seen a more
professional work than the "CATS" performance last Saturday night. I cried, my
wife cried. We shouted and applauded. We were enthralled, and lifted out of our
seats from time to time with the splendor of the dancing, singing and absolute
perfection of all cast members to be in sync with each other. Even the very
young were absolutely perfect in performance. We have attended many plays at
this theater and they have all been good. But this was by far superior to
anything I have ever seen.
Bring this play
back soon. I have already told everyone about it. And I am sure you will have a
sell out. I simply cannot understand how you ""did it"" with such perfection.
Watching these children made our life richer and gave us hope for the future of
this country. Thank you so much. Thank everyone involved so very much.

I may be sending this to the wrong
address....but....
This presentation by the Players was one of the finest that I have
seen in the 20+ years that I have been associated with the Players.
It'll be a tough one to top!!

Well,
that was the best money I have spent in a long time!! The seats were great but
the show!! AWESOME!! We were beyond impressed. Everything was perfect…costumes,
wigs, makeup-wow! Sets, props but most of all
the talent...
You may
or may not know that we (Carlsbad Community Theatre) just lost a family member.
Sharon White, who co-founded our youth program about 20 some years ago, passed
away very unexpectedly last Saturday-62 years old. Sharon was the one who always
said everything
would work out,
the magic would happen despite all the pitfalls. Now you and I know how much
goes into shows, as did Sharon, but she believed in what a group could achieve
through work and love and belief. You brought the magic to
that theater. No
doubt to full houses and lots of school kids.
I take my hat off and stand for an ovation to you .... You have the vision. My
best, J
As I write this letter, it is 10:54 p.m. on
Saturday, April 4, and I have a smile on my face. My wife, daughter and I
just returned from an absolutely delightful evening at the Fallbrook Mission
Theater.
A few months ago, when I heard that Fallbrook
Players was planning a production of the musical “Cats,” I remember thinking
that was an extremely bold and aggressive project.
Having seen two different Broadway casts
perform this entertaining and intriguing musical, my expectation was that
there might not be enough local talent to pull this one off. Boy, was I ever
wrong!
This local production was every bit as
entertaining as the Broadway productions. From the choreography, to the
sets, to the vocal and acting performances, we loved this show.
I know that the actors and crew worked on
this one harder than any other production, and it showed! If I thought the
paper would print the list, I would name every person who was involved in
this enchanting performance.
There was not an empty seat in the house and
that is how it should be. It warms my heart to see this community support
the local productions at the Mission Theater.
Thank you, Fallbrook Players! Thank you,
Mission Theater! And thanks to the community for continuing to support
this terrific venue!

What an
achievement, what an accomplishment, what a show!!!
I only saw it
twice, first Sunday, last Saturday, and I would have loved to have
taken more friends with me to see it again if it had gone on
longer.
This production was
not only head and shoulders above anything I have ever seen in
Fallbrook before. it was someone standing on top of someone’s head
and shoulders above!
It had to be a
Herculean effort to put it all together so well, and every single
person who contributed anything at all to this great success
deserves praise and appreciation, but the person who took on the
monumental task of turning 53 local kids into a troupe that could
easily rival many so-called professionals I have seen, that person
deserves special honors, very special honors indeed. - D.S.,
